Kyla Simmons has been at Uplift Hampton since 8th grade. UT Austin intrigued her not only for prestige, but also how exceptional their Radio, Television and Film program was. Kyla is looking forward to potentially enrolling in a class taught by actor Matthew McConaughey. On top of this, she is also looking forward to taking advantage of “study abroad-like” programs such as UT LA and UT New York, which allow students to immerse themselves and network with others in the industry.
