COVID-19 continues to be a serious threat, which is why several cities are opting for drive thru and socially distant community events to help keep everyone safe, but still enjoy the fun-filled Fall festivities.



Drive-Boo Halloween
Dates: Friday and Saturday nights October 2 – October 31

Haunted Tall Tales

As fall officially arrives in North Texas, the temperatures begin to drop and the veil between the worlds thins as Halloween approaches. Enjoy an absolutely killer view while learning more about the haunted history of Dallas as told by some of the most unforgettable (g)hosts that once called the city their home.

Ticket price includes access to the Geo-Deck, please plan your visit accordingly to allow time to enjoy the views before or after the event. Geo-Deck hours for October are as follows: Monday-Thursday 4:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. and Friday-Sunday 1:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.

TWO weekends of FRIGHTS!

One of the best displays of Halloween spirit in Texas, Loyd Park’s Forest of Fear, witnesses the transformation of a campground into a drive through of creative Halloween displays! Drive through in your own vehicle and take in the spectacle. Hayrides will not be offered this year due to COVID-19 concerns. Personal trailers will not be allowed for use. Pumpkin Paint & Play!

Grab a spot and join us at Play Street Las Colinas for a Pumpkin Paint & Play! We’ll provide the pumpkins, paint and all the art supplies, and you come with creativity and help bring the fun! Along with paint to make your little one’s pumpkin unique, we’ll have all kinds of fun things to add to the pumpkins – googly eyes, hair and more. Enjoy playtime in the museum after painting to round out your morning of fall fun!

Eerie Irving – A Drive-Thru Experience

Bring the family out to this first-time free fall event. Eerie Irving Park, a Drive-Thru Experience, will be from 4 to 9 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 24 at Trinity View Park. Come see all the Halloween frights from the comfort of your own car. There will be something lurking at every corner and for the older children, make the turn into Zombie Apocalypse.

Each child under the age of 15 will receive a commemorative bucket to collect treats along the route. Leaving Eerie Irving Park, each vehicle will receive one pumpkin to take home and decorate with the family.

Attendees must stay in their vehicles at all times. No buses, oversized vans, or RV’s will be allowed. All applicable laws apply to vehicles and each person should be safely buckled into a seatbelt. Please keep one car distance between cars and keep with the flow of traffic. Any safety violations could result in being asked to leave the event immediately.

From Loop 12, take Irving Boulevard exit and travel east. Turn right at S. Wildwood Drive and left on 6th Street. Directional signs for event will be posted. Service roads from Irving Boulevard / Highway 356 to Trinity View will be closed so please follow signage. Portalet restrooms will be available for guests prior to entering the park.

Halloween Candy Cruise

Roll into Halloween with a sweet ride through our Candy Cruise! Join City of Coppell departments, local businesses, and organizations for this new twist on trick or treating! Remain in your vehicle and drive through the parking lot at the Coppell Senior and Community Center and receive pre-bagged treats (while supplies last). There will be an optional photo opportunity at the end where families may briefly exit their vehicles. Social distancing guidelines will be in place. All candy distributors and drivers must wear a mask.

BOO BASH 2020
Date: Saturday, October 24, 2020

Join us for our 6th Annual BOO BASH at It’s a Sensory World! This year will look a little different but will provide a safe alternative to traditional trick-or-treating. Mark your calendars and stay tuned for more exciting details!



Drive Thru Trunk or Treat

Drive Thru Fall Festival

Scare in the Park

Enjoy Halloween fun while staying in your vehicle! Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and restrictions on gatherings, this year at Scare in the Park (a revised version of our usual Scare on the Square event) families will remain in their vehicles as they drive through a Halloween trunk-or-treat at Valley Ridge Park. Each vehicle will be handed a treat bag from each vendor it passes.

Tour of Frights

Keeping social distancing and public safety in mind, the annual Halloween in the Park has been re-imagined into a drive-thru family-friendly Halloween spooktacular. The Farmers Branch Historical Park transforms into an avenue of thrills and chills on Halloween night. This safe alternative to traditional trick-or-treating brings all the treats to you. Families are invited to wear their Halloween costumes, decorate their vehicles and cruise the Historical Park as nightfall begins.

*Note: Take Ford Rd. North from 635 service road. No entrance at Farmers Branch Rd.
*Prepackaged trick or treat bags will be distributed to each child in costume, while supplies last.

A canned food drive benefitting Metrocrest Services will also be taking place. Event attendees may bring canned goods to donate. A donation is not required for a trick or treat bag.

Safety reminders:
*Remain in your vehicle. No walkthroughs.
*Props/toys that may be perceived as weapons are not permitted into the Park.
