Cold weather has arrived in Dallas and we would like to remind our parents and school communities of our weather procedures for this winter season.
Our school website homepages have been updated with a “Inclement Weather” button where parents can find all the latest information for your specific campus weather update. To navigate to this page, visit your school’s web-page, select the “Families & Scholars” tab, then select “Campus General Information” on the drop down. You will see the “Inclement Weather” snowflake icon in the middle of the page! On this web-page you will find all of the information you need about any weather-related updates, delays or closings.
At Uplift, we make the decision to close or delay school openings in the case of inclement weather no later than 6:00 a.m. This decision is recommended by Uplift’s Regional Operations Directors and Chief Operating Officer who together review weather and road conditions. Given that Uplift schools are located in six cities across D/FW, there is a chance that some schools will have different operating hours or closures than others in the network.
In addition to the “Inclement Weather” button on our school web-pages, parents can also learn of school delays and closings through the following channels:
- Local news outlets by 6:00 a.m. (NBC5 and Telemundo)
- Text, email and phone call from campus communication systems. Make sure to update your contact information with your school so you receive these alerts!
- The Uplift App
- Campus Facebook account, the Uplift Education Facebook page and Twitter.
