Uplift High Schools join the National College March

Uplift schools have been participating in the National College March created by the Washington Heights Expeditionary Learning School (WHEELS) as a symbolic tradition for high school seniors since 2013. This year, Uplift added two new participating school Uplift Mighty and Uplift Infinity who are celebrating their first graduating class.

Seniors marched their college applications to the post office as classmates, teachers, staff, family and community members cheered them on. This moment is important to all of our scholars with nearly  75% of them being first generation college students. Seniors are looking forward to the next step at College Signing Day where they declare which college that have chosen to attend.

You can watch our re-cap video that captures some exciting moments of our schools College March and the promise of a bright future ahead on our YouTube channel or Facebook page.
