Stay engaged during the Winter Break

School is out for Winter Break, but the learning doesn’t have to stop! We have compiled a list of events going on throughout the metroplex to keep your child engaged.

City of Dallas Dec 19
Deck the City Hall Saturday, Dec. 19, 12-5 p.m. 1500 Marilla Dr., Dallas Free outdoor ice skating, entertainment, pictures w/Santa!
The city of Fort Worth has family friendly activities throughout month. Check out museums, the Stockyards, Sundance Square or attend one of the ongoing events.
Dallas Public Library
The Dallas Public Library has free events throughout the winter break. From reading, crafts, movie days and adult classes. Check out the website to find out which library is closest to your home and the activities going on for the day.
Grand Prairie Library
The Grand Prairie library will have a holiday party at The Tony Shotwell Library on Dec. 22 at 2750 Graham St. from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. There are several activities students and adults of all ages can participate from crafts, story-time and movie days.
The Forth Worth Library programming to adhere to all age groups. Throughout winter break the library will be opened and offer literacy classes, workshops and various activities. Check out their website for library locations, hours and the activities. Activities vary at locations.
arlington library
Visit the Arlington Public library to take part in a noon year’s even party. Open to all ages, the library will have story times, crafts (make a party noisemaker) and much more. There are many more activities families can take part in throughout the winter break.
