Uplift Education partners with ChildCareGroup to provide preschool education in southwest Dallas

Uplift Hampton Preparatory Jasmine Price is a single mother with three children including Uplift Hampton first-grader, Jacob Price.  When Jacob was younger, Ms. Price needed to work to support her family, but she struggled to find personalized care for him that she could afford.  She enrolled Jacob in ChildCareGroup, and from age three to five, he received early-childhood education that included speech, physical, and occupational therapy. Jacob graduated from ChildCareGroup with improved memory and comprehension and was able to speak in complete sentences while Jasmine was able to concentrate on her job and finish her business degree.

“Jacob has transformed from a shy, timid boy, debilitated by physical and mental challenges into a free, bubbly spirit.  Without ChildCareGroup, Jacob would have been behind.  Now at Uplift Hampton, Jacob has the attention he needs to build on the foundation he received from ChildCareGroup,” Ms. Price said.

A new partnership between ChildCareGroup and Uplift Education will allow more children to receive the education and care they need as a foundation for success. Uplift Education will open the network’s first pre-kindergarten classes beginning in August 2014. Eighty eligible students will attend this pilot in two half-day sessions at the Uplift Hampton campus in southwest Dallas. The program will be operated by ChildCareGroup, which has extensive experience providing academically-oriented early childhood and pre-k programs as well as holistic support services. ChildCareGroup will implement the program, and, at the same time, the students will belong to the Uplift network and will continue on as Uplift Hampton students in grades K-12.

“Uplift is excited to partner with ChildCareGroup to provide pre-K classes at Uplift Hampton this fall.  They are a great organization and have a strong commitment to academic excellence starting with the youngest of students. We are happy to invite them into the Uplift family,” said Uplift CEO Yasmin Bhatia.

Research shows all children can benefit from early exposure to high-quality education. After carefully considering organization partner options, Uplift was impressed with the results ChildCareGroup has produced in its early care and education programs, which are accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).

“ChildCareGroup is committed to providing high quality, school readiness education to prepare young children for success in school and in life.  Through our partnership with Uplift Education, we are confident that our young students will go on to reach their highest potential in college and beyond,” said Tori Mannes, ChildCareGroup President and CEO.
